The Closet Project

This unfinished closet sat as a cluttered catch-all until I converted it into the ultimate project storage. Check out the transformation.

Before

This closet was unfinished, and before the garage conversion it was actually part of a dirty garage. The concrete at the bottom is the perimeter wall for our house.

Here's what I did:

Emptied the closet
Hung a new LED light fixture
Did some trim work at top for a light grill
Fixed the sheetrock imperfectly
Sprayed texture on the wall
Painted wall
Painted concrete with special paint
Used 1x1 aluminum angle for shelves
Cut plywood for shelves

After

I've standardized on these 18 qt storage bins from Home Depot and these smaller 6 qt shoe bins.
These links are likely to rot quickly.

Label-maker'd everything.
